We currently employ 11 staff and have experience of working with and supporting apprentices. We are extremely proud of our family environment.

About the role

This is a fantastic opportunity to join our school and become a valued member of the team. You will be working across Key Stage 1 and Key Stage 2. The role will include supporting the class teachers to plan and deliver whole class learning activities, delivering small group activities and working 1:1 with pupils who require a little additional support.

We are looking for an apprentice over the age of 18 who has a grade C/4 or above in maths and English. Life experience, a work history and experience of working with children would be preferable. We are looking for someone who is keen to learn and will want to be actively involved in school life. Important qualities are confidence, initiative, communication and compassion.

General duties to include

  • Meeting the children as they enter school to support them to settle into the school day.
  • Working with whole class/groups or 1:1 to deliver work that has been planned by the class teacher.
  • You will be expected to keep clear and accurate records of pupil behaviour, interaction and personal development and share this with the class teachers.
  • All staff are on rota to cover break duties, this is a good opportunity to build relationships with the pupils.
Your future career with us

As a thriving small school we involve all our staff in additional training to support professional development, this will support future job applications and the identification of specialisms you may want to pursue.

Training & Qualification Details

This Level 3 apprenticeship is expected to last a period of between 12 –18 months. You will attend live tutor led sessions 2 days every month (1 day every other week which will either be via ZOOM or in person depending on your location) and participate in online interactive learning via our bespoke innovative platform OLLIE. Your Tutor will also visit you in the workplace for 1-2-1 Tutor sessions during the program.
