About the role

This is a fantastic opportunity to join a highly experienced and knowledgeable team! We have a vacancy for someone who is passionate about supporting children to be the best they can be. The vacancy is within our small Reception Class and will start in September. We are a small city school with a real family feel. Public transport links are good and there is some staff parking available. We are looking for a young person who would like to learn and develop while immersing themselves in whole school life. Your day will start at 8.30am and finish at 3.15pm. Every day will be different!

Level 2 may lead to Level 3, the school is part of CET so there may be opportunities available after the completion of level 2 in other schools.

Training & Qualification Details

This Level 2 apprenticeship is expected to last a period of between 12 –14 months. You will attend live tutor led sessions 2 days every month (1 day every other week which will either be via ZOOM or in person depending on your location) and participate in online interactive learning via our bespoke innovative platform OLLIE. Your Tutor will also visit you in the workplace for 1-2-1 Tutor sessions during the program. System People have fantastic pass rates and won the “BEST Training Provider Award” at the Golden Apples in 2019 and have been awarded a “Good” rating by Ofsted 2021.

Entry requirements

You will need to have achieved a GCSE grade 4/C (or equivalent) in Maths and English by the end of this program. Therefore, if you do not already hold a grade 4/C in these subjects, you will be required to carry out a short Maths and English Assessment to see if we are able to offer you Functional Skills support to reach a Level 2 (grade C/4 equivalent).
