About the role

This is a superb opportunity to join a successful school team that has experience in supporting apprentices achieve and excel. St Margaret Mary is a Catholic Primary school within the city that has excellent public transport links and has a busy and friendly environment.
St Margaret Mary's are looking for a new apprentice to work within Key Stage 2, the role will be varied and the right candidate will have the opportunity to work across the classes with a wide variety of pupils.

General duties to include

  • Working closely with the class teacher to plan learning activities linked to the pupils next steps.
  • Delivering small group interventions and 1:1 sessions within the classroom
  • Marking, record keeping and assessments.
  • Playground duties
  • Supporting with class/school trips.

Training & Qualification Details

This Level 3 apprenticeship is expected to last a period of between 12 –18 months. You will attend live tutor led sessions 2 days every month (1 day every other week which will either be via ZOOM or in person depending on your location) and participate in online interactive learning via our bespoke innovative platform OLLIE. Your Tutor will also visit you in the workplace for 1-2-1 Tutor sessions during the program. System People have fantastic pass rates and won the “BEST Training Provider Award” at the Golden Apples in 2019 and have been awarded a “Good” rating by Ofsted 2021.

Entry requirements

You will need to have achieved a GCSE grade 4/C (or equivalent) in Maths and English by the end this program, therefore if you do not already hold a grade 4 in these subjects, you will be required to carry out a short Maths and English Assessment to see if we are able to offer you Functional skills support to reach a Level 2 (grade C/4 equivalent) by the end of the program.
