About the role

Do you have the ambition to support pupils with additional needs to achieve their personal goals?
Within this role you will have the opportunity to work with pupils across all key stages and curriculum areas. You will be part of a successful team that provides support to our pupils that need that bit extra. We are looking for someone who is over the age of 18, loves to learn, has excellent communication skills and can use their own initiative to start working with us in January 2023.

General duties to include

  • Duties will include
  • Supporting class teachers in meeting individual learning needs
  • Developing trusting and supportive relationships with pupils
  • Working with small groups of pupils on individual targets
  • Supporting pupil independence
  • Being a positive role model for learning and behaviour
  • Keeping detailed records on pupil participation and progress.

Training & Qualification Details

This Level 3 apprenticeship is expected to last a period of between 12 –18 months. You will attend live tutor led sessions 2 days every month (1 day every other week which will either be via ZOOM or in person depending on your location) and participate in online interactive learning via our bespoke innovative platform OLLIE. Your Tutor will also visit you in the workplace for 1-2-1 Tutor sessions during the program. System People have fantastic pass rates and won the “BEST Training Provider Award” at the Golden Apples in 2019 and have been awarded a “Good” rating by Ofsted 2021.

Entry requirements

You will need to have achieved a GCSE grade 4/C (or equivalent) in Maths and English by the end this program, therefore if you do not already hold a grade 4 in these subjects, you will be required to carry out a short Maths and English Assessment to see if we are able to offer you Functional skills support to reach a Level 2 (grade C/4 equivalent) by the end of the program.
