This is a fantastic opportunity to join the team of a small and well established Primary school. Greystoke are looking for a Teaching Assistant apprentice to join them in September 2023 to work across years 3, 4, 5 and 6. We are a small staff and work very closely together, looking forward to sharing our knowledge and supporting your training. We are lucky enough to spend every Wednesday afternoon at Greystoke Castle to enjoy a variety of outdoor learning activities. Candidates should be enthusiastic about the opportunities we offer our children and their own professional development
We are looking for someone who is confident, academically strong with a minimum of C/4 grade in maths and English with excellent communication skills.
Due to the semi-rural location of our school it will be necessary for all applicants to be able to drive.

Upon the successful completion of the Level 3 Teaching Assistant Apprenticeship there may be the opportunity to join our team on a permanent basis.
This Level 3 apprenticeship is expected to last a period of between 12 –18 months. You will attend live tutor led sessions 2 days every month (1 day every other week which will either be via ZOOM or in person depending on your location) and participate in online interactive learning via our bespoke innovative platform OLLIE. Your Tutor will also visit you in the workplace for 1-2-1 Tutor sessions during the program. System People have fantastic pass rates and won the “BEST Training Provider Award” at the Golden Apples in 2019 and have been awarded a “Good” rating by Ofsted 2021.
You will need to have achieved a GCSE grade 4/C (or equivalent) in Maths and English by the end this program, therefore if you do not already hold a grade 4 in these subjects, you will be required to carry out a short Maths and English Assessment to see if we are able to offer you Functional skills support to reach a Level 2 (grade C/4 equivalent) by the end of the program.
