About the role

This is a fantastic opportunity to join a very successful nursery that was established in 1988. Jack and Jill Nursery have a team of experienced and highly qualified staff to give support and training with a real family feel. As an apprentice, you will have the opportunity to work in both rooms; 0-2’s and 3-5’s.
This role will begin in January 2024. Applicants should have grade 4/C or above in maths and English and you must have a strong work ethic and a willingness to learn. If this sounds like you, apply now!

General duties to include

  • Daily duties to include but are not limited to:
  • Meeting the children and welcoming them into the setting
  • Planning and delivering activities
  • Be involved with the recording of child development
  • Promoting the health and safety of the children at all times
  • Setting up and clearing away activities
  • Supporting outdoor activities
  • House keeping duties (cleaning equipment, using washing machine).

Upon successful completion of the apprenticeship there may be an opportunity to progress onto the Level 3 Early Years Educator apprenticeship.

Training & Qualification Details

This Level 2 apprenticeship is expected to last a period of between 12 –14 months. You will attend live tutor led sessions 2 days every month (1 day every other week which will either be via ZOOM or in person depending on your location) and participate in online interactive learning via our bespoke innovative platform OLLIE. Your Tutor will also visit you in the workplace for 1-2-1 Tutor sessions during the program. System People have fantastic pass rates and won the “BEST Training Provider Award” at the Golden Apples in 2019 and have been awarded a “Good” rating by Ofsted 2021.

Entry requirements

You will need to have achieved a GCSE grade 4/C (or equivalent) in Maths and English by the end of this program. Therefore, if you do not already hold a grade 4/C in these subjects, you will be required to carry out a short Maths and English Assessment to see if we are able to offer you Functional Skills support to reach a Level 2 (grade C/4 equivalent).
