About Braithwaite CofE School

We are a small friendly school in the village of Braithwaite, near Keswick, in the beautiful Lake District National Park. We are judged 'good' by Ofsted who noticed that "teaching is good and pupils make good progress". The report also noted that "pupils are caring towards others and have respectful attitudes", "staff know individual pupils' skills and capabilities well" and "pupils' good behaviour and attitudes to learning make a positive contribution to their good progress", as well as that "pupils in all year groups enjoy reading".

We joined the Good Shepherd MAT who are a family of schools centred in Cumbria that share a common set of values and a desire to work together to provide high quality education for children in their communities.
