About the role

We have a fantastic opportunity for an apprentice to join our team as a Teaching Assistant from September!

We are looking for somebody who is committed and enthusiastic with a passion for working with children. You must be able to work well as part of a team and be willing to be involved in the wider lifer of the school.
To be successful in this role, you need to have high expectation of yourself and pupils and have the ability to take initiative and make decisions.
You must have maths and English grade C/4 or above. If this sounds like you, apply today!

General duties to include

  • Listening to children read
  • Help out with school events, trips and activities
  • Assisting the class teacher
  • Assist with the preparation and maintenance of equipment/resources required to meet lesson plans/relevant learning activities to support the delivery of an enriched curriculum.
  • Supporting the learning of children in the class
  • Preparing resources and materials
  • Take part in training, meetings and reviews
  • Assist the teacher with administrative tasks

Training & Qualification Details

This Level 3 apprenticeship is expected to last a period of between 12 –18 months. You will attend live tutor led sessions 2 days every month (1 day every other week which will be via ZOOM) and participate in online interactive learning via our bespoke innovative platform OLLIE. Your Tutor will also visit you in the workplace for 1-2-1 Tutor sessions during the program. System People have fantastic pass rates and won the “BEST Training Provider Award” at the Golden Apples in 2019 and have been awarded a “Good” rating by Ofsted 2021.

Entry requirements

You will need to have achieved a GCSE grade 4/C (or equivalent) in Maths and English by the end this program, therefore if you do not already hold a grade 4 in these subjects, you will be required to carry out a short Maths and English Assessment to see if we are able to offer you Functional skills support to reach a Level 2 (grade C/4 equivalent) by the end of the program.
